Prof. Dr. Sattar’s academic journey is marked by significant contributions to the field of political science, Philosophy and Law. His PhD dissertation, completed under the guidance of renowned theorists Prof. Dr. Hartmut Elsenhans and Prof. Dr. Ulf Engel, explores “New Political Movements in Pakistan between Fundamentalism and Modernity.” Throughout his career, he has researched and published works on a wide range of topics, including a comparative analysis of Allama Iqbal’s philosophy alongside German philosophers such as Goethe and Nietzsche. His research interests encompass religion, philosophy, Law and emerging political movements.

In addition to his academic endeavors, Prof. Dr. Sattar has demonstrated exemplary leadership within various organizations. He has served as President of the Pakistani Culture Society (e.V.) in Leipzig since 2007 and the Islamic Culture and Social Society (e.V.) since 2013. Furthermore, he is the President of the International Mugees Organization, a role he has held since 2017.
